Bio / Company History
Northeast Real Estate ownership Elisha Hardy and Chad Norris are excited about who they are as a company today. Being part of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand and how Northeast Real Estate’s dedication to highest standards of real estate brokerage in Maine have remained unchanged in the agency’s heritage dating back to 1903 as J.F Singleton Company.
Elisha’s passion for real estate came from her father, Robert Gilberti, who was a broker/owner of Prudential Northeast Properties and continues today with her husband Todd, owner of Hardy Construction. Chad started his broker career in 2001 after working as a building contractor and was mentored in the industry by his father, a previous owner of Northeast Real and current owner of J.F. Singleton, Bob Norris.
In 1903, the J.F. Singleton Company was formally incorporated as a real estate company in Bangor by James Francis Singleton and John F. Magee. Magee, through survivorship, operated the agency up until he sold to his long-time friend John E. Largay. Largay maintained the same principals as his predecessors. In 1962, Largay’s son, also John, joined the company and under Largay’s tutelage, John assumed control and navigated the company’s growth making it one of its region’s most successful real estate agencies. With over twenty five years in the banking and residential lending business, Bob Norris acquired the agency from John Largay.
Currently Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices | Northeast Real Estate has over 120 agents and eight offices covering north of Bangor to south to Kittery. Our agency’s commitment to community benefited by the strength of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices affiliation will maintain our growth and high standards in real estate brokerage.
